what happens when women follow a fool and his movie

I just finish watching this movie and it goes without saying that the theme of this movie sends women especially black women the wrong messages. The story line is one of a no good nigga who repeatedly rape the young stepdaughter of a fat ugly black woman. This woman has such low self esteem that she refuses to believe her stepdaughter when she confides in her about this incident. She goes as far as to threaten the child into silence. The child grows up with many problems because of her childhood. During these selfsame years this same nigga that rape this young girl almost gets kill in a drug deal. Low and behold the nigga old and scared decides to give his life to Christ. Prior to attending the church services that evening the fat ugly black woman with low self esteem ask this nigga point blank if he ever rape her daughter and he look her square in the eye and denied it. An like all fat ugly black woman do she became gleeful and believing in this lying nigga. The finally of this play begins at the church altar where td jakes is preaching redemption for all. The girl which had been raped as a child is in attendance trying to find some relief for her pain . She is just about to give her heart to jesus and then she look up and there's that nigga crying and weeping for forgiveness. The nigga see her at the altar and begins to approach her asking her to forgive him. The child now a woman and able to protect herself pulls a pistol from her purse and shoot the nigga to death. In the interim we are shown the fat ugly black woman with a bad case of low self esteem praising god for this great healing only to end up in dismay with the shooting if her no good nigga.

The end is where it begin with td jakes talking to the young girl who is now on death row. He is trying to find out what drove her to shot that nigga. She is loosed from her torment when she confesses to the bishop that it was wrong to kill that nigga who raped her. She emphasis that no matter what that nigga did to her it is still wrong for her to take his life. This film is filled with wrong messages. One is that the fat yglt black woman and women like her are just victims. It was obvious that this woman played pivotal role with with her child like behavior in relation to that nigga. She put the child in harms way willingly. She new that young girl had been rape when she heard her crying in the closet and seen that bloody dress. Her act to silence the child nailed the door shut. Killing a nigga of this sort in a just world is justice. I can not believe that any rational jury would convict an innocent women. The penalty for the crime of rape should be death without a statute of limitation. This would go far in acting as a deterrent to those who perpetrate such a heinous crime. To tell young women that their believe in god is equatable justice in case like these is to deny justice at all. Those who teach people that you can and are forgiven of any crime you do just as long as you come with tear dripped eye to altar are the biggest criminals of all.
